09.11.2023 13:18

Fine5 Dance Theater has been invited to the international contemporary dance festival DanseFestival Barents with two performances: Razdedauch and A Chair Waiting to Be Sat on. Razdedauch will be performed on November 15th and 16th 2023, and A Chair Waiting to Be Sat on on November 18th in the Arctic Cultural Center. The festival will take place from November 15th to 19th, 2023 at Hammerfest, Norway.

Razdedauch is a production created in collaboration of Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, English, Lithuanian, Latvian, and Estonian dance artists within the framework of Creative Europe supported cultural project "BET: Body, Experience, Time through 45+ Dancers". A Chair Waiting to Be Sat on is a collaboration between choreographers-directors Tiina Ollesk and Renee Nõmmik, composer Giovanni Albini (Italy), and video artist Argo Valdmaa.

DanseFestival Barents is the northernmost international contemporary dance festival in the world, which aims to show high-level dance, art, and culture from the Barents Sea region and further away. The festival has been held every year since 2003 and has become a place for the creation and development of professional networks, a laboratory for the exchange of knowledge and experience in the form of workshops and master classes, and a festival gathering projects and events aimed at children, young people, and adult dance enthusiasts.
