A-Festival is an international festival of independent and student theatre companies that began in 2012.

The goal of A-Festival is to bring together international theatre groups from the fringes of the theatre world — spanning the spectrum from professional to amateur, state-funded to project-based, and ranging from text- and movement-based, narrative and compositional, psychological and formalistic — and to unite with the local theatre audience. As part of a network of student theatres, the Tartu Student Theatre also aims to use the festival to popularize student theatres in Estonia and to introduce this culture more closely.
