Theatres

Juri and Irina Mihhaljov established Narva theatre ILMARINE in 1989. It was the first attempt after the Second World War to re-establish the professional theatre tradition in Narva.

The theatre repertoire is based on productions where commedia dell`arte, musicalness, playfulness is mixed. The main repertoire is fairytale based intended for children. The main goal is to introduce the Russians who live in Estonia the Estonian culture and educate the young audience. Besides the performances in Narva the troupe also performs abroad.

Theatre Ilmarine is a member of the Estonian Centre of ASSITEJ.
