The Estonian Theatre Agency acts as the Estonian Centre of the International Theatre Organization ITI. Each year, the Centre broadcasts World Theatre Day on 27 March and International Dance Day on 29 April, launched by ITI. The Estonian Centre participates in ITI’s general assemblies, European region meetings and other cooperation projects.

ITI’s General Assemblies take place every few years in different countries. The last, 35th World Congress, took place in Segovia, Spain, in 2017. In 2020, the congress was held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Watch the video introducing the Estonian Centre here.

The membership status of the Estonian ITI Centre is financed by the Agency in cooperation with the Estonian Theatre Union and the Estonian Association of Performing Arts Institutions. The president of the Centre is Anu Lamp and the CEO is Kirsten Simmo.
