One of the characters says that it takes courage to go away from the well, the other claims that it takes courage to stay at the well. Who is right and who is wrong?
"The Well" is a story where people have reached a certain point in their lives. There is no faith or love, just hope. But even that is slowly slipping away. What then? Where and how to go on? What to hold on to? In everyday life, the day and night dictate their own rhythm and somewhere in the middle there are moments, when we cannot escape from looking inside ourselves. Who are we? Where are we? It is in human nature to prolong the day and night as much as possible only to make those moments as short as possible.
