Theatres

Theatre Nuutrum was created in 2020. Originally a summer theatre, Nuutrum has grown into a full-scale repertory theatre. The theatre collaborates with a number of well-known Estonian playwrights, thanks to which its repertoire consists largely of Estonian originals. The repertoire also includes high-quality foreign dramaturgy.

The aim of Theatre Nuutrum is to bring new Estonian dramaturgy to the stage, to produce new translations and to cultivate regionally diverse theatre. Among other things, Nuutrum is the only Estonian theatre that works to capture maritime and coastal culture in Estonian theatre.

Theatre Nuutrum's general and artistic director is Jaanus Nuutre.
