Ajateater was founded in 2010. The theatre draws inspiration from historical events, figures, and materials that raise questions, spark reflection, and provide opportunities for the imagination to take flight.
Ajateater is a project-based theatre that creates productions centered on cultural history and historical themes. Performances take place mainly in Tallinn and Harju County, but with the right idea, they can also be staged in other locations across Estonia.
The project theatre is led by Anne Velt and Katrin Tuuksam, and productions are created in collaboration with professional Estonian artists, musicians, and actors.
