25th of March, 1949: Külli Roosna’s grandmother was deported to Siberia together with tens of thousands of other Estonians. Many didn’t survive the journey. Her memories of this are not somebody’s cleverly written fiction novel, but are personal and very real experiences of living under an oppressive regime.
Can you fight monsters without becoming one yourself? In The Wolf Project choreographers Külli Roosna and Kenneth Flak are pushing the boundaries of power and manipulation. In a very physical document we are confronted with the formation of a world view. How do we manipulate others into viewing the world as we want it to be perceived? In the end it all boils down to one question: who do we believe? And who do we trust to manipulate us?
