Choreographers, dancers, and producers Land Before Time (Joanna Holewa Chrona & Yared Tilahun Cederlund)
Music by Yared Tilahun Cederlund

Waterkind explores the interplay and connection between two bodies without direct physical contact and is inspired by the movements of water, its flows, currents, and shifting forms. The work merges freestyle and popping elements into a meditation on receptivity, proximity, and space. The piece asks how we can experience connection and mutual understanding through improvisation and how vibrations, responsiveness, and subtle energy can bridge distance. Each movement emerges from the previous one, mirroring the cyclical and interdependent nature of water itself.

Land Before Time is an artistic partnership from Sweden, formed by Joanna Holewa Chrona and Yared Tilahun Cederlund. Blending dance, deejaying, choreography, and sound composition, their work explores rhythm, connection, and the spaces between movement and music. Rooted in both local and global influences, they create performances that merge streetdance traditions with experimental sound and improvisation. Land Before Time was selected as one of the 20 outstanding European choreographers by the Aerowaves network in 2025, and their work Waterkind was presented at the Aerowaves Spring Forward Festival in 2025. Their work has toured internationally to growing acclaim, reaching audiences across Europe and beyond. Previous and upcoming engagements include performances in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Lithuania, Holland, Scotland, the Netherlands, Croatia, the UK, Italy, Germany, and Malta.

The performance is followed by a tour at the Tallinn Architectural Biennial (TAB) curatorial exhibition. The TAB 2026 curatorial exhibition How much? explores the tension between cost, constraint, and value in architecture. Taking place in Linnahall, the exhibition uses the building’s uncertain future as a starting point to ask what architecture truly costs — not only financially, but also spatially, politically, culturally, and over time.

Duration: 30 min performance + 30 min tour

Artist talk will take place after the performance on October 13th.
The performance is family friendly and there is no language barrier.
