Femme Physique explores the relationship between body and water from a female perspective. The work takes place in a swimming pool where bodies gather and share a moment of tranquillity. An ode to the unapologetic female body; wrinkles, cellulite, goosebumps, soft and hard lines, thin and thick skin.

How are bodies felt, seen and performed in these spaces?

Swimming...coldcoldcold
SHAKE YOUR SKIN
SHAKE YOUR HIPS
SHAKE YOUR BREASTS

Running towards the pool. NO RUNNING. Goosebumps. Why is there sand on the pavement? Holding my stomach/breasts. Can not wait to get into the 39°C water. Ahhh release. Safe…

"Oh hi! How are you doin’?!"

The body is beautiful. Enjoy it! Dive in! Dance on the bank! Let yourself float...

Together Snædís Lilja and Sigríður Ásta are the performance duo Forget-me-not. They love working in a big studio with freedom to run, dance and scream. When creating they prefer to first act and then think, using improvisation, following their intuition and flowing with it. On a Friday they summarise the week’s work over a glass of champagne where their best ideas are born (and their worst).

As a duo they come from different artistic backgrounds; Snædís has worked as a dancer all her professional life (and longer) and Sigríður originally trained in classical singing. On top of this they are both actors. Femme Physique is their first piece together combining both of their artistic practices. The artist duo was selected as one of the 20 outstanding European choreographers of the Aerowaves network in 2025 and their work Femme Physique  was presented at the Aerowaves Spring Forward Festival 2026 in Portugal.

Duration: 45 minutes
Artist talk with the choreographers takes place at 15:00 on October 11th.
The performance is family-friendly, accessible with a wheelchair and with no language barrier.
