Enchanted space, fluctuating borders, darkness swaying with temptation. What to believe? Is it what the eye can see? What the ears can hear? Or rather what wanders in the mind?

The hybrid form of contemporary choreography takes its inspiration from Ukrainian literary classic Nikolai Gogol's "Vii", a vivid and wicked ensemble of witches, demons and other vile creatures. Having no beginning nor an end, the performative installation is activated by moving bodies, soundscape and a mysterious ambience. The magic, sorcery and maelstrom of human relationships bring the focus on our irrational fears, forcing us to face the unconscious and the obscure of meeting the real self.

The created space deals with the boundaries between the unknown and the known and pays homage to Mai Murdmaa as one of the most important creators of dance art in our recent history.
