"All Together” is based on stories of people who are or once were important to us, but for one or another reason, cannot be with us at this moment. Conceived by Michikazu Matsune and joined on stage by Frans Poelstra and Elizabeth Ward — three performers remember them, dedicate a dance to them and sometimes become them. This moving performance connects those who are here to those who are not here, what is present to what is absent. No matter if we love or hate one another, as a matter of fact, fortunately or unfortunately, whether you are here or not, we all belong together.

Michikazu Matsune, born and raised in Kobe and based in Vienna since the 1990s, is an artist who works on various formats, which ranges from stage-performances, interventions in public and private spaces, to conversation projects and publications. His approach, characterised both critical and playful at the same time, examines the tension around our cultural ascriptions and social identifications. His work, which often involves a practice of story-sharing, examines the friction between identity and globalisation, action and language, public and private. Matsune is also the initiator of Homesick Festival (since 2017), a unique performance festival that takes place in private homes, and The Institute of Sleepless Nights (since 2022), a project devoted to the art of sleeplessness and a wide range of troubles related to the act of sleeping.

His works have been presented by renowned venues and festivals internationally, including Festival d’Avignon, Festival d'Automne Paris, Tanzquartier Wien, ImPulsTanz, Wiener Festwochen, Theatre Vidy Lausanne, Spring Festival Utrecht, Gwangju Biennial, among many others.Matsune teaches performance art at the University of Arts Linz.

Frans Poelstra, born and raised in Amsterdam and based in Vienna, is a performer, dancer, musician, teacher and advisor in the field of contemporary performance.

Elizabeth Ward, born in Detroit and has previously lived and worked in New York City, Athens, Brussels and Portland, is a choreographer and performer currently based in Vienna
