Phases was shortlisted for the best theatre production in 2008. With the help of Steve Reich’s special energetic music, the dance production examines what kind of ideas and traces we leave behind and how
they influence the surrounding environment.
To move forward, achieve better results, enjoy life to the full! The striving of mankind towards progress and success leave differently charged traces in people and in the environment. Partly because of these traces mankind is perhaps moving towards destruction, but let us be honest – there has always been playfulness and joy.
People in the Phases are together, move apart, sometimes enjoy collective solitude. The viewer is offered a true feast of sensations – in addition to Fine 5 strong choreography, the production is enhanced by Tiina Sarapu’s light installations and Steve Reich’s music performed by Ensemble Voices Musicales.
