Mandragora is a one-act performance where Doris Kareva's poetry is presented in a theatrical manner.
"Poetry is one of the most truthful ways to describe the world and the human soul. A lot of excellent poetry has been written in Estonian, therefore I think it is important to get together every now and then, and to read mantras that help us to understand our life here," said the director Jaanus Rohumaa.
Kareva's poetry is at the same time symbolic and sincere, courageous and beautiful. It deals with the inevitability of love, life, death, pain - the things in life that we cannot bear not to speak about.
