This is a passionate, powerful and joyful performance of Lemminkäinen's story of love, war and destruction. His story, which is at the same time arrogant and kind, wise and spiteful, admirable and shameful, goes beyond time and is therefore still understandable and captivating today.
The material of the play is from "Kalevala", from the collections of Suomen Kansan Vanhat Runot and Sami folklore. The tragic story is narrated as a forceful song. For the spectator this is a unique opportunity to take a step closer to understanding the Finno-Ugric world.
The performance is played in the beautiful nature of Leigo farm in Lutike village, Valgamaa county.
