Playwrights

Siret Campbell is an Estonian playwright, dramaturg, and theatre pedagogue. She studied Directing and Dramaturgy of Contemporary Theatre at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London and holds a master’s degree
in theatre arts and pedagogy from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, where she now teaches dramaturgy as a senior lecturer. From 2008 to 2024, she ran Drakadeemia, a creative writing school supporting emerging writers across fields, and continues to lead specialised workshops for artists, organisations, and universities. She is also the chair of the Estonian Directors and Dramaturgs Union and an advocate for the development and recognition of contemporary playwriting in Estonia. Campbell’s work explores boundaries of form, focusing on socially relevant themes and collaboration. Her work bridges artistic practice, education, and policy towards a more vibrant and sustainable theatrical culture.
