Playwrights

Marite Butkaite on näitekirjanik, kriitik ja loovkirjutamise juhendaja. She studied literature and theatre studies at the University of Tartu in 2007-2011, playwriting and creative writing at the Drakadeemia in 2008-2011, and written translation at the University of Tallinn in 2012-2017. Since 2012, she has hosted an improv writing series. Her writings have an apt use of language and are delightfully inventive. She has been one of the screenwriters of the popular series The Vengeance Bureau since 2024.
