Playwrights

Madis Kõiv was a writer, physicist and philosopher. From 1948 to 1953 he studied physics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Tartu. He has written articles on nuclear physics and field quantum theory. Since 1991 he was one of the initiators and leaders of the Analytic Philosophy Seminar. Although his work covered a wide range of subjects, he was able to do everything with remarkable thoroughness and rigour. In his work, he delved into the evolution of the human being, reflecting on the nature of time and memory. His works interweave dreaminess and meticulous intellectuality into an endearing whole.
