Playwrights

Kristel Leesmend is an actress and writer. She graduated in 1992 from the XV class of the Tallinn State Conservatory of Performing Arts and was a freelance actress for a while. From 2012-2018 she worked at the Tartu Uus Theatre. Both in her creative work and in her life, she values serenity and reflection. She creates her work with a dedicated thoroughness and is able to convey complex existential themes in a heartfelt way.
