Playwrights
Ervin Õunapuu
Ervin Õunapuu is an Estonian scenographer, painter and writer. He studied in Tartu Art School in 1976. He has been a scenographer and the head of the art department in different Estonian theatres. He has also directed movies. Õunapuu (as a writer, but also as a scenographer) focuses on historical events, including religious narratives and philosophies into his works. His signature minimalistic and black and white style as a scenographer gets often carried on to his works as a writer.
