On October 11th, 2025, a staged reading of Kindergarten by the Estonian playwright and director Urmas Vadi took place in Menas Theatre in Panevėžys, Lithuania as a part of this year’s Baltic Small Festival.

The play was read by the Lithuanian actors Dovilė Klementjeva, Martynas Klementjevas, Aliona Kuriakina, Samuelis Sauchatas, and Kotryna Chruškova, and the reading directed by the Estonian stage and film director Leeni Linna.

Urmas Vadi’s newest play Kindergarten is an absurd and witty drama where middle-aged characters, facing a life crisis, decide to return to kindergarten to start over. A playful and sharp exploration of identity, friendship, and the joy of being a child, again.

The play was first staged in Rakvere Theatre by the author himself in March 2025.
