Choose a Better Version to be performed in Paris and Klaipeda

Choose a Better Version, a collaboration between the Theater of Playwrights (Ukraine) and the Vaba Lava Theatre Centre (Estonia) will soon be giving guest performances in both Paris and Klaipeda.

Paris will host performances on May 29th and 30th, 2024 as part of the pre-Olympic cultural programme of the Paris Globe Festival, while Klaipeda’s performance on June 5th 2024 will be part of theATRIUM festival programme.

Choose a Better Version premiered during the Freedom Festival 2023 in Narva, written by Natalka Blok (Ukraine) and directed by Valters Sīlis, artistic director of the Liepaja Theatre in Latvia. Sīlis worked with four Ukrainian actors in both Kyiv and Narva, making Choose a Better Version one of the first productions to be produced in Ukraine during the full-scale war.

The play is about the choices Ukrainians can make in a war situation. The difficult choices are softened by humour and sarcasm.
